At SCLA, spiritual development is integral to the student experience. We provide a progressive series of Bible and religion courses, beginning in middle school and advancing through high school, to deepen students' understanding of Scripture and its application to their lives. Daily chapel services unite the campus community in worship, featuring faculty, guest, and student speakers and musical expressions. Students also have opportunities to participate in mission trips and service groups, allowing them to live out their faith in meaningful ways.
SCLA's culturally rich environment welcomes approximately 20% of its student body from outside the United States. Since 1995, St. Croix Lutheran Academy has educated students from over 60 countries, from Australia to Vietnam. International students benefit from SCLA's outstanding academic community and actively engage in athletics, music, and leadership roles. The biennial International Festival celebrates this diversity, offering students a chance to share and experience various cultures firsthand.
For students seeking on-campus housing, SCLA provides a dormitory supervised by professional faculty and staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The residence program fosters unique interactions between American and international students, promoting cultural exchange and lasting friendships. The dormitory is equipped with amenities such as study areas, lounges, and dining facilities to support students' daily needs.
SCLA hosts a rich array of traditions that enhance the student experience:
