Sweet Side of MS ESL Students

Middle School ESL (English as a Second Language) students recently finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a Novel by Roald Dahl.  The students finished a project where they "invented" a candy, wrote a description and then wrote a persuasive letter to Mr. Wonka, asking him to consider buying their "invention."  Students practiced reading the letters and recorded them to improve speaking skills!  Now we just wish we could really make some of the exciting candy about which we wrote!
