SCLA offers weekly on-campus beginning and advanced violin and viola lessons. Currently, there are two instructors available: Marra Dietsche (SCLA strings director) and Josh Misner of Misner Studios.
Lessons are weekly and follow the school vacation schedule.

About the InstructorS
Marra Dietsche is a violinist and pianist who recently moved to this area after living and teaching general music, orchestra and choir in Kenosha, WI for eleven years. She is a graduate of Lawrence University (B. Music Ed.) and Anderson University (M. Music Ed.). Marra grew up studying violin in the Suzuki method and has training in teaching the Suzuki method from UW Stevens Point. She will be teaching the String Ensemble for SCLA high school students as well as offering private or group lessons for elementary and middle school students on violin, viola and cello.
Josh Misner is involved in various projects as a multi-instrumentalist, recording engineer, and producer
and is an active freelance performer both solo and with The Laurels String Quartet. Together, his group has had the pleasure of backing many of the Twin Cities’ most notable pop, folk, and rock musicians as well as several national artists. Mr. Misner graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead with a B.A. in music education. In addition to teaching at St. Croix Lutheran, he currently teaches at his home studio and for MacPhail Center for Music.
