Speech Team
Section 4A
Students in grades 7-12 may participate on the SCLA MSHSL speech team which begins practice in late October or early November and competes until early April. The team typically meets three times per week as a team, individually, and with peers; and attends meets on Saturdays (all day). Students may choose a speech category (Original Oratory (persuasive); Informative Speaking; Humorous Interpretation; Dramatic Interpretation; Serious Prose; Serious Poetry; Extemporaneous Reading; Creative Expression; Duo Interpretation; Storytelling; Great Speeches) and how many meets to attend.
