Class of 2025 - Moments that Shaped Us

This video was created by SCLA students who formed "GlowWorks Studio," a student-led film production club that meets after school. They created this video of their own accord, without prompting or request from SCLA. We are thankful to these students for sharing their work with us, so that we can share it with you!

Discover What's Next

High school is more than the next step in your student’s education. It’s a season of growth, discovery, and preparation for the future God has planned for them.

As students move beyond middle school, they begin asking bigger questions about who they are, where they belong, and what they are capable of becoming. They need a place where they are known, encouraged, and challenged—a community that helps them grow spiritually, intellectually, and physically.

At St. Croix Lutheran Academy, your student will find more than a classroom. They’ll find opportunities to explore their interests, develop their talents, build meaningful friendships, and grow in confidence and independence. In a Christ-centered environment, students are encouraged to think critically, lead faithfully, serve others, and take ownership of their decisions.

We partner with families to help students flourish in every area of life—soul, mind, and body. Whether your student is preparing for college, a career, or wherever God leads next, SCLA provides the guidance, support, and foundation they need to move forward with purpose and faith.

Most importantly, SCLA is a place where your student belongs—a community where they are supported, valued, and reminded daily of God’s grace and love.

Students First

At St. Croix Lutheran Academy, we believe every student has been uniquely created by God with individual gifts, talents, and purpose. That’s why we focus on educating the whole student - spiritually, academically, and physically.

Whether your student plans to enter the workforce, pursue vocational training, or attend a four-year college, SCLA provides the guidance, opportunities, and support to help them succeed. We work alongside students to help them discover their strengths, grow in confidence, and graduate prepared for the next chapter of life with the skills, character, and faith foundation they need to thrive.

Caring Teachers

At St. Croix Lutheran Academy, our highly qualified and compassionate teachers partner with families to help students grow spiritually, intellectually, and personally. More than 60% of our instructors hold advanced degrees and are committed to helping each student succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

With a student-to-teacher ratio of 13:1 and an average class size of just 20 students, teachers can provide meaningful personal attention, build strong relationships, and truly understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals.

Beyond Homework

At St. Croix Lutheran Academy, our modified block schedule is intentionally designed to give students the time, support, and flexibility they need to succeed. A key part of this structure is REACH Time—Reinforce, Extend, Achieve, Challenge, Help—a dedicated period at the end of the school day focused on academic growth and student support.

Held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:20–3:00 p.m., REACH provides students with a quiet, organized environment to complete assignments, study, receive extra help from teachers, collaborate on projects, or dive deeper into learning. Rather than taking work home every night, students have built-in time during the school day to stay on top of their responsibilities and ask questions when they need support.

This intentional approach not only strengthens academic success, but also creates more opportunities for students to participate in one of SCLA’s 50+ co-curricular activities, pursue their interests, and maintain a healthy balance between academics, involvement, and personal growth.

SCLA graduates matriculate to these and other universities.

College Preparatory

St. Croix Lutheran Academy’s high school program (grades 9–12) is designed to prepare students for success in college, career, and life. Through a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum offered across a two-semester school year, students build a strong academic foundation while exploring their interests through electives, activities, and leadership opportunities.

Students complete core graduation requirements while choosing from a wide variety of courses in basic, accelerated, honors, and Advanced Placement levels. SCLA also offers multiple opportunities to earn college credit during high school through dual-credit courses, AP classes, and Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO).

Beyond the classroom, students can deepen their learning through academic teams, STEM-focused opportunities, and hands-on experiences that challenge them to think critically, collaborate effectively, and grow as problem-solvers.

SCLA students consistently score above the Minnesota state average on the ACT and SAT, and 95% of graduates continue to college or university studies. More importantly, students graduate prepared not only academically, but also with the confidence, character, and faith-centered perspective to thrive wherever God leads them next.

Vocational Studies

In addition to a strong college-preparatory curriculum, St. Croix Lutheran Academy provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop practical life, career, and technical education (CTE) skills through hands-on learning experiences.

Students can explore interests and build real-world skills through courses such as:

  • Business, Entrepreneurship, and Personal Finance
  • Woodworking
  • Construction and Architecture
  • Basic Culinary Skills
  • Digital Media Arts
  • Child Development
  • Yearbook

Hands-on learning extends beyond elective courses as well. Students regularly engage in labs, experiments, design challenges, and collaborative projects within science and STEM classrooms, helping them apply what they learn in practical and creative ways.

These experiences prepare students not only for college, but also for future careers, leadership opportunities, and everyday life.
