The high school struggle is real: making friends, staying involved, and discovering and experiencing new things. And we're not just talking about the students! High school can be one of the most dynamic and influential experiences of not just your student's life, but yours too! We'll talk together about all the "new" of high school at SCLA and how both you and your student can stay involved in the SCLA family.

Now that we've talked through how SLCA focuses on college preparedness, let's focus on what colleges are asking for. We'll look at financial aid, admissions testing, and SCLA course selection, plus, a quick look at sports recruitment! This Crusader Connections session is being held virtually only. January Blues is upon us, and with all that 2020 brought, sometimes it's hard to think about 2021. Maybe you're seeing the same mindset in your student. We'll talk about options to help get over the hump of our Minnesota winter, as well as for other struggles like fitting in, bullying, anxiety, and depression.

How do we do that? What's the process? We know SCLA has a lot of international students, but we're not sure how to get involved. We'll talk about practical ways (like having a student visit your home for the weekend!) to embrace the global diversity of SCLA.

There are a lot of religions out there. SCLA is certainly Christian, but what does the "Lutheran" really mean in St. Croix "Lutheran" Academy? And what's my student actually learning in the religion classes they're taking each semester? We'll talk with some of our religion teachers and pastors here at SCLA.
