Welcome to SCLA!
Welcome to St. Croix Lutheran Academy! We know how important it is for you to find a school where your child feels like they belong and can excel. The experiences and outcomes of your student’s middle school and high school years will have an impact on his or her life for years to come.
SCLA offers a caring, global community of about 500 students in Grades 6-12 from the greater Twin Cities area and from around the world. Since 1958, we have served students from more than 50 countries and 18 states, providing an affordable but academically rigorous Christian education in a safe, caring environment. Our passionate teachers share God’s love with students, who in turn are taught to care for and encourage each other. When needs arise, we offer counseling and continual support. And that support extends beyond the classroom and crosses over into our many opportunities for students to participate in athletics, the arts, student leadership and club activities including young men’s and women’s Bible studies.
To get a sense of what it’s like to be part of SCLA, we encourage you to visit: schedule a tour or a student shadow. Come see our beautiful chapel, our classrooms (including new band and vocal music rooms), our stadium and athletic fields, and our 150-bed dormitory, all on a beautiful West St. Paul campus next to a park with a lake. Visit with our teachers, more than 60% of whom have advanced degrees and who continually update our curriculum to help students explore a wide variety of interests and discover their life’s purposes. And be assured that from carpentry to art to STEM classes and AP courses, Christ is at the center of all we teach.
We each sent our own children to SCLA, because we wanted that Christ-centered education for our kids -- and because we both believe that regardless of individual gifts and abilities, SCLA is a place where every student has the support and the opportunities to reach their full potential. We look forward to meeting you and learning more about what you and your family are searching for in a school.
